We moved here from a McMansion in Allen. We've both been unemployed for about 5 years. Wife decided to change careers and go into nursing. I've just given up. Renting for the first time in about 30 years.

Anna's a neat town. It seems like most folks are friendly. Wish we had a Walmart neighborhood market like we had in Allen, because as nice as Brookshires is, it's pricey.

Give Anna a chance. We like it. You're outta Dodge, yet you're only 10 minutes from 380. Once the construction is done on 75/121 and 380, it's like you can get anything you want, but escape to the country.

when we started moving in we brought some stuff from our house and put them in the  garage. They were stolen before we actually moved in.

Rule number 1- change your locks

rule 2- change your garage door opener code (if you don't have the manual you can go online to find out how to do this)

You never know when your ex-resident might come back, or gave the garage door opener or key to a neighbor just in case.

Sad that you need to do these but we live in crappy times.

Chili...don't see one around...but I will keep my eyes open. Would hate to be without a bounce house. Is Ehowton bringing his spigot cooler too??
ggolf...sorry to hear about your intrusion. Frustrating! We are buying a house that was foreclosed on. I feel sad about that,  but we did look the previous owners up...thank goodness for facebook. They were really nice and gave us all the "quirks" of the house. But you know what? The more I think about it, I think we will definately change the locks. Thanks for that suggestion!

Changing locks is always a good idea. It is tough all over -- especially at the holidays.

My DH and I have one 3 yr old girl, and we've lived here in Anna for just about 3 years. We absolutely love it, since DH works in Sherman and can get there in a blink. He and I first dated in high school, and if we'd stayed together then -- I'm sure we'd have an 18 yr old right now, too.

You will meet people of all walks of life on here --- and disagree on just about everything. But, I know I've made some lifelong friends through connections I've made on this forum.

I saw the eye thing too. But being new to you all I didn't want to ask such personal questions. Now, E, I understand....just a dagum homewrecker you are. Geez! ;)
