The homowners were tied of paying $240 a year for nothing. We have no pool or community center. No common areas, the front sign sits on land owned by some other developer. Yes we got the grass cut,but no flowers were ever replaced which were supposed to be done every 3 months. We have 104 lots in our small community. $240x 104 is $24,960 a year C.M.A. Management was getting from us. Our rules stated we needed 67% of signatures to dissolve. We got over 74%. next meeting, we nominated our pres. ,vice pres. , treasure. They all wanted to it dissolve as well. After they were "officially" in power, they took the floor. We voted right then to dissolve. There is alot of red legal tape involved. C.M.A. put up a fight because they want the dues but were put in their place when they realize they don't have a leg to stand on. It took guts, sweat and hard work from a few wonderfull homeowners to get the ball rolling.
