The Gift
« on: March 24, 2008, 07:00:36 PM »
We're on a strict budget this week, and I watched with envy as drax0r bought his daily Monster.  By the time I made it to my desk I was down in the mouth.  Then I saw it.  Something unexpected.  I'd purchased two-for-three on Thursday, and what lay before me but the second one I hadn't drank!

It was like supping from the fountain of youth!

Hun, you can always take change from our cookie jar.

The people at the store always look at him funny when he pulls out a handful of change interspersed with cookie crumbs.

It's quite embarrassing.

E - you are more than welcome to come get a Monster from my stash anytime you need one!  I have the original, the Russian, and the Irish on hand at the moment and I am more than happy to share with the person who got me started!

And E, that story was a perfect example of "The Power of Attraction". You visualized sipping a tasty Monster beverage, and POOF there it was. . .

Or was it an example of forgetfulness?  :-\ Let's go with Option #1, shall we.

I think he used the very power of his mind and willed the beverage into being. Or he is getting old and sometimers is kicking in and he forgot the other one he had bought. I really like the first option better E sounds cooler

That takes 'counting the hits' to a whole new level.  That surly SOB was cursing my name and wishing that I would choke on my own Monster, not positively visualizing his own.

I can visualize him doing exactly this, mumbling and all.  Is that a bad sign?
