I've been living here for nearly 5 years now. I've always paid my dues on time and in full, never had a complaint or rule infraction and truly want to see the community thrive and expand. You'd think that being a home owner subject to the rules of an HOA might afford you some rights within that organization. These people don't care! They raise our dues every year, and do it in such a way that I have no say so about it. They only need to ask the home owner if the dues are raised by 10% or more. They proudly mention this fact in their annual expense report. We are supposed to have a board of directors aren't we, so who are these people and when do they meet? This is our development not the HOA, what can we do about this. Why is it that people are fined for weeds in their lawns and grass touching the side walk when the grass in the empty lots are allowed to grow 4 feet high? Why are we spending so much on postage stamps, have you heard of metered mail people. Is anyone else out there wondering why our voices are not heard by these people, why am I sending my money to Orlando, FL? These people work for us and as our employees need to be subject to our scrutiny and open to our opinions and concerns. Do we have any legal recourse in these cases, does anyone know?
