a new low for oak hollow?
« on: November 17, 2010, 11:55:14 AM »
Geez, we've already been burglarized here, took a lot of preventive measures, and now someone stole my freeze cap off one of my outside watering stubs. I think I'll take an old rag, wipe my butt with it, and wrap it around the pipe. Steal that, a-hole!

Really?

So what is up with all the stealing going on there? I am not sure where oak hollow is....do the police monitor that area? Just wondering.

What the hell?  It seems to me like you have a real a-hole teenager hanging around there.  That or you have pissed off a neighbor with your meticulous grammar...

Sorry that you are dealing with all of that, we have been here 5 years and have never had a problem.

I've already taken down the sign I had in the front yard that said "dont mispel dumbys" so we can rule that out.

How long has it been?  Maybe they are slow and just figured it out.  ;)

Oak Hollow is just east of 75 south of 455. The police are patrolling here all the time but they can't be everywhere all the time.
I'm just a little frustrated because at age 58, having lived all over the country, this is the first time I've ever been a victim of a crime; and we've only been here 3 months. Only good thing is it's petty crime. Out $600 for a mosquito magnet and cordless drill, now $1.30 for freeze cap. (sigh)

I thought ours were stolen, but actually a neighbor used my faucet then didn't put the cover back on...

The first year I moved here (2002) back when tons of new construction was going on, I often had paint in the yard where paint crews washed their tools with my front faucet.  GRRR!!!

A neighbor? What was wrong with theirs? Ballsy.

I built a house in Frisco, one of the first in the development. Saw Paco using my side yard as a bathroom. Roach coaches came and trash would be everywhere. They used my walls to rest in the shade during breaks. I killed 43 rats in my backyard because they were so attracted to the food trash. I hate the vacant lots here in Oak Hollow but dread if they are ever built on again. Although I did like the free scrap lumber.

Is it possible the previous tenant is still being a douchebag?  They are the ones most likely to have stolen your stuff initially correct?

Another resident in Anna invested in a fairly low-rent security monitoring system that was motion activated.  Busted some retarded neighbor damaging their vehicles.  You may want to give it a shot.  If they are stealing stuff, they are also probably sniffing your undies while you sleep.  Can't be too careful!

Yeah, Chilli, we think it was a previous tenant, so we changed the locks, garage codes, etc. Still anything outside is fair game for the bad guys.
