Christmas Decorations
« on: December 28, 2010, 11:46:33 AM »
I would like to thank the group of kids who kicked down the Christmas Decorations in my front yard.  My husband and I have spent both alot of time and money picking them out and putting them up.  It gives us a warm feeling to come home from work and the house is lit up.  Because of the thoughtlessness of your actions, we are considering not decorating anymore.  Thanks

P.S. One more thing, since what you did is considered vandalism, being shot doing what you did is legal.  Next time make a little more noise.

so sorry that happened to you

vandals are everywhere

kids today get no discipline and are allowed outside with no supervision

if I had done that when I was a kid in the 60's, and my dad found out, my rear end would still be concave. THEN, my mom would take over and the real discipline would start! So in other words, I NEVER DID STUFF LIKE THAT!

Of course today, you can't touch a kid for fear of lawsuit. I would find it highly unlikely that vandalism would fall under the Castle Laws so I think you couldn't shoot them either.

Castle Law or not, I would leave that warning out there.  It's better for the thugs to NOT know exactly how I might react to their presence.  I'd prefer to deal with the legal stuff afterwards. (speaking as an experienced vandalism victim)  8)

Ggolf,
After both my parents beat my bottom raw we would them have to go to the neighbors and apologize and see what they wanted us to do to make up for it.  I come from NYC and am also old school.  Maybe that's why I didn't have kids, figured I would be too tough on them.

Kids these days are so disrespectful and I agree, they have no discipline or consequences in regards to their actions.

Childrens actions fall back on their upbringing.  Yes, blame the kids but be sure to include the parents.

Especially if they have a hot mom.  When the mom is hot, of course she is included.  She is included in making reparations by changing in to her swim gear.  And in slow motion with 3 different camera angles, she has to blow up the arm floaties for me.   That's right... take your time.  Those floaties aren't going to inflate themselves now are they?  No they aren't, and she doesn't get to use any pool water to aid in installing those floaties onto my biceps region either.  No sir.   (feel free to replace me* with we* or us* or whatever else* throughout this paragraph I was just writing for perspective)
