Got your Wristbands and Pool Cards?
« on: May 28, 2009, 06:10:34 PM »
If you don't have them yet, log on to www.oakhollowhoa.com asap and get em.  They'll be your ticket to free food at the community pool party on Saturday, June 6 (from 5-7)!

Come out, enjoy some sun, maybe take a dip, have some food, and hang out with your neighbors.

It's all free- just have those wristbands and pool cards ready!  ;D

We have ours, but I have seen plenty of people in the pool that do not have them or are not wearing them. Is there anything we are supposed to be doing?

Got ours.

I have to stick the band around my little guy's ankle so it doesn't come off- nobody go trying to kick him out now!

This past weekend was a freebie for all who had not gotten their wrist bands.  They are now asking people to leave that don't have them.  If there is anyone that has signed up for them and not received them they can use the email confirmation they will receive to gain access to the pool.  The email confirmation is good for one week after it is printed.  I know this is frustrating to those that have already gotten their wrist bands and are wearing them.  With any new rule there is always an "adjustment period".  Hopefully you will see an improvement over the next week or so.

is there always someone at the pool monitoring it?  I mean who is responsible for checking?  I have mine, so I am good, but was just wondering if someone is always there checking.  Also, how do I find out about these "free" weekends, of doings around the pool? Is everything on the HOA website?  And who is on the pool committee?  Thanks for all your hard work!!

To answer your questions...  1) The pool committee does spot checks since we can't be there 24/7.  Also if there are a lot of violators they can always view the camera footage if needed.  So when they can't be there they can rely on the camera.  2) There will be no more "free weekend", it was just for the opening so that they could make sure everyone was aware of the change.  If you want to know what is currently going on at the pool go to face book and look up Oak Hollow Pool.  They will post information there.  You can also ask questions, make suggestions, or voice your concerns there as well.

Thanks, Busy mom!

Went to the pool today and it was great.  Started getting busier as the day went on.  Lots of people w/ their bracelets on, but many more without them on.  Also notice drinking by the adults, but they did conceal it quite well.  Also observed people letting people in the gates.  Having said all this, its still MUCH better than the previous years.

Always a work in progress, right?

I noticed the first weekend that our pool was opened (and yours wasn't) we had a LOT of foot traffic coming in from Oak Hollow to borrow the use of our pool.  I was glad I had stitches and couldn't take the kids swimming because that place was a madhouse.  It has really seemed to settle down now that your pool is open too.

In order to "reserve" the pool pavillion for your party, there IS a procedure in place now!  You can go to www.oakhollowhoa.com and pull up the reservation form (under forms).

Once you fill it out, you will fax it in to the number on the form.  Someone will contact you to confirm availablity and to set up a time to pick up your $50 check deposit.  This deposit is 100% refundable AFTER your party is over, once it has been verified that you cleaned up after yourself and your guests.  The form explains all of the rules.

As far as the wristbands go, you are allowed a MAXIMUM of 50 guests for your party and you will receive some special "party" wristbands for those guests on the day of your party.

The pavillion can be reserved for you for up to 3 hours, so as soon as you know the date and time you'd like to reserve it, you'll need to follow these steps.  Since it is summer and the party reservations are on a first-come first-served basis, the earlier you book, the better...

I don't live in Oak Hollow, so it doesn't bother me.. but I'd be ticked if I paid my HOA's & was not able to get into the pool (at least not w/ out it being over-crowded) sometime b/c somebody was throwing a party with 50 of their closest friends..

I see that, but I'd be ticked if I paid my HOA fees and then had to go spend 3x that out of pocket to rent pool space for my kid's birthday.
