Steven, the workers finishing up the house by WTU_fan let us take a peek in side Friday nite. They have done a marvelous job with the house! In fact, it was at the top of our list, but we stumbled upon another house at 813 Post Oak that just came available this last week and we already put down our deposit. Trust me when I say the house by WTU ran a close second. I never got an official word as to how much the house would rent for but the worker was guessing in the $1100 to $1200 range. Good luck to you!

Wow that sounds nice.  Can you give me more details?  My wife likes a big kitchen.  How does the kitchen look?  How about the Master bath?

Are there any "for rent" signs yet?

No rent signs yet. The kitchen is big, but there are not very many counters or cabinets. It is an eat in kitchen, will fit table and chairs easily. The master bathroom is big. I don't remember if the garden tub and shower are seperate or if there are two sinks. The closet is a nice size though and so is the master bedroom, 19 x 19.

All I want are some nice neighbors who follow the HOA rules, don't throw loud parties and don't park in the grass. I don't think that is too much to ask for.

A neighbor caddy corner from me. The van is parked okay, but the truck is parked half on the driveway and half on the grass. It's a small truck not a big one. They park like that so they can get thier motorcycle out of the garage. Heaven forbide they just move the truck or van out of the way so they can get the motorcycle out.

Thanks!

Unless they're parking on your grass, why do you care?

I'm with you on this one, drax. Personally, I like having a tidy lawn; the only time I've ever parked on the grass adjacent to my driveway was during a garage sale. And I could understand WVU's complaint if the little truck was in the big middle of the front yard. But to just be hanging off the driveway a bit seems to me like a non-issue.

WVU, I appreciate your desire to have a classy neighborhood kept in tip-top shape. But if you are that knit-picky maybe it was best that we decided against the grey house coming for rent next door to you. I would hate to see any bad neighbor blood caused by a minor infraction on our behalf.

I am more with WVU on this one.  I personally would never park on a lawn.  It tears up the lawn (or compacts it) and makes it look like you don't care about your property.  I have a person in my current neighborhood (and it is a nice neighborhood) that parks his entire car on the lawn.

BTW, this isn't why I am thinking about moving to Anna.  :)  I want a quieter community more in the country.

It's not a little on the grass, it's mostly on the grass. Four wheels on the grass = you are parking in the yard. There are city ordinances against parking in your yard, having furniture in your yard, etc. We are supposed to take care of our yards according to HOA rules. If you continually park in your yard, it ruins the grass and looks tacky. If you were to put your house up for sale and had neighbors that kept their car, couch and dishwasher in their front yard, do you think you would get any offers? I have not reported them because they don't cause any problems and are pretty quite. I was just saying it looked tacky. They used to park two cars in the yard, so they are improving. I am sorry that you feel that I am knit picky and that you think I would make a bad neighbor. I just care about my community and how it is perceived when people come here. I would hate for them to confuse us with the trailer park.

WVU-I know where you live and you do have a nicely kept house and lawn and don't blame you for feeling the way you do. ;)
