Sometimes it's good to invite them in for a "spirited debate".

More fun is to discuss how they believe that only 144,000 people, from all people from all of history, are going to get into heaven.  Then point out that what they are doing when they go out evangelizing is continuing to look for those people.  Then ask them what they think their chances of getting into heaven are.

Bonus points if they cry ;)

Don't you think that they would want us all to remain sinners?  I mean, really, it would up their odds...

I would just wish them a Merry Christmas and send them on their way. Of course before they go I would ask them if they'd like to recite the pledge of allegiance with me by my flag pole. Sure hope they stop by Militarydave's place. Like to see that!

Threads like this always make me think of Hacker.  I was in tears one time watching him try to sell a bag of m&m's to the Kirby guy after he knocked, even though there was a no soliciting sign.

I guess depending on your religion, and perspective of the afterlife in general, anything can appear foolish.  The guys on bikes certainly have dedication, if nothing else.  That being said, they appear to be preying on the uninformed, and the uninspired.  Anyone with half their wits about them will start popping up mental red flags like crazy within the first 5 minutes of them 'explaining' their 'religion' to them.

Lived in Salt Lick City for 6 months. I now know what it's like to be a "minority". If you ain't a Mormon there, you are a nobody. Run like the city of Chicago.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 6 months.  Felt the same.

One of my former bosses and golf buddies just spent 2 years there, helping them set up some banking businesses. He was paid a bucket load of money. Went to Qatar to relax on the weekends only to find out that they're as uptight as the Saudi's.

I usually walk up to the front door with my shot gun and hunting gear for all solicitors and JH's.  It works well.
