No one from Oak Hollow?
« on: September 17, 2007, 07:53:41 AM »
We will be moving into Oak Hollow next weekend.  Anyone else live in Oak Hollow?  How is their HOA?  What about the pool?  Any community events coming up?

We moved into Oak Hollow a year ago come Oct 12th and we've really liked it here.

From what I tell there haven't been to many community events in Oak Hollow its pretty quiet.

We moved into Oak Hollow one year ago (April 2008). We love it so far. We have been leasing our home the past year but are in negotiations to buy from our landlord. We have good neighbors for the most part. At least no complaints here. However, it does seem rather quiet. Where are the barbecues and block parties? Don't everyone be a stranger. I have a brand new killer barbecue pit and am dying to use it! hahaha

It seems like when we moved here (Summer 06), we were getting fliers for block parties pretty regularly. Now, nothing.

We live in oak hollow and and my neighbors and i were talking bout that last night. Several of us congregate outside our houses on a regular basis ( we have kids close to the same age that play together) but it seems like when we try to engage other people to join in, they prefer to stay to themselves. What happened to being social with the people you live near?

We live on the un-developed side of Oak Hollow, and it is really quiet.. We have yet to meet our neighbors, other than the occasional nod. Seems as if everyone stays to themselves over on this side of the neighborhood too. We have 2 kids, and would love to find other kids for them to play with. Luckily our oldest is starting Kindergarten at Rattan Elementary this year so he will make friends there..

Which part of Oak Hollow do you live in, Dawson? We live in the South addition (I think this was phase 2). Birch Wood to be exact.

Yep we hang outside almost every night and play, it has done wonders for our kids and wears them out each day!

Good News!!  There will be a Pool Party for the residents of Oak Hollow on June 6th from 5-7.  The pool committee will be serving hot dogs, chips, and sodas at the pool.   ;D
