Halloween
« on: October 31, 2007, 09:55:51 PM »
Scotch & a cigar in hand, my family trekked around Pecan Grove before it got dark, finding a total of three houses passing out candy to the children.  Met a new neighbor, then had chili dogs with homemade chili outdoors at the next door neighbors house with some good tunes, meeting some other neighbors who also stopped by for chili dogs.  It was so good, I should've eaten THREE of them!

On to Tara Farms, where my wife and kids unceremoniously fleeced the neighborhood.  I stood back with drax0r who handed me a beer, and his wife as we watched the carnage from afar.  At nine o'clock, every light in the neighborhood went out.

Not to be stopped, we hit The Falls, where chuckster and lynkira were getting their post-Halloween cheer on joined by mom, RBO, and daisy.  Lt. Day showed up and showed off his Magnum to some visiting Scots (yes, I think its actually an invasion) I got to meet.

All-in-all, fantastic.  Thank you, and now its time for bed.

Crowley has been rather busy this evening.  Looking through the eye I saw a couple of cars turn up for the party behind the complex.  I could hear them breathe.  I could feel my heart pounding in my neck as I strained to live the evening through them.  The Scumlord has taken everything away from me.  Afraid I will be a danger to myself my living quarters consist of this 286 and a make shift 2x4 stool.  The air is so stale I can smell the fart I let yesterday.  I have tried to bleed the implanted aliens out of my arteries but as the blood flows to the ground I become weaker.  I am thinking I must co-exist with them to stay alive.

E: Glad you and the family enjoyed the eats and drinks! Your lovely wife will be glad to know that Jim took the rest of the chili to work with him, so we won't be force-feeding, I mean... offering any bowls of chili tonight. You did, although, leave for Tara Farms before dessert, so we'll bring that by later. LOL!

Halloween in Pecan Grove would have been extremely quiet if we hadn't been pumping music out until almost 9pm. We had few trick-o-treaters, because I think many others had the same idea as us. They just brought out chairs, fired up the grill and cracked open a beer. We brought out the telescope and stared up at Jupiter for a while. Awesome night!
Ask me how I can help you feel your best.

Next year ya'll need to head to Creekside.  I swear it looked like a movie set.  People everywhere.  We didn't have to worry about any kids getting run over cause there were too many people in the street.  The sidewalks were full.

We had about 8 bags of candy and ended up with NONE left.  We turned the lights off at 9:00 (o the horror) and closed the door.  It was the first time in a long while that I enjoyed trick or treating.  Mr and I walked with the kids, Oldest Boy stayed home and passed out candy.  It was great.

... and Mr's autopsy room was quite the hit.  The lawnmower severed appendages where right up there too.

We had approximately 32 people join us for festivities at my house before Trick or Treating.

The Hay Ride was a huge success.

I stopped by and introduced myself to your mother-in-law.  Nice lady.

I had one trick o' treater knock on my door.  As I stared upon them through the eye their face melted into the colors of the Istanbul flag.  I told them of this and they ran.  Without electricity the only way I can comunicate with the out side world is with my Maglight and I am afraid I will signal their ship to my location and there will be Hell to pay.

You will be fine, you Moorish Philistine.  That is not a flashlight, it is a stick of lip balm.  I didn't want you to hurt yourself with the flashlight so I swapped them out.  "Signal" away!
