Geek Advice
« on: December 13, 2007, 06:55:55 AM »
DH said I could use his Linux box as a server.  But we need to load a new OS onto it.  So.... what is a good version that is freeware?

He will want a GUI of some sort and we want to use it as a web server for our pics. and probably my candle database as well.  I guess if it works out, I might end up hosting my own etail sight (Eventually).

So the box is not the newest, but it is stable.  P4, 1gig RAM and I don't know the rest of the specs.

Suggestions?  Help???

A request to be spoonfed information or details - the act of being too lazy to google it yourself.  This should have been the new dictionary entry :)
