I am really looking at new Laptops for a new business and I was really gonna use new Mac's until I got to the warranty they do not offer the Accidental coverage that Dell does and these will be moving around a lot and I can't afford someone dropping or spilling something and have a $2500 dollar Boat anchor

It seems to reflect light quite nicely as well :)  What else does it do?? (I am a windows baby....)  My husband would laugh out loud at the idea that I spend so much time on the internet!! I remember when we had our first computer and our 9600 modem... I believe that I told him that this "internet thing" would never last.  hahahahaha

You have a $2500 dollar Boat anchor once you purchase anything running XP.

Hahaha thats too funny, I remember when we first got our first computer I was mad because I wanted to get new furniture instead of spending the money on a computer and accessories.  When he was buying the modem and explaining to me what it would allow you to do I was like , bleh like anyone would waste their time doing that.  This was before there was even the web, it was just local dial up bbs's.   ;D

I'll out line the relevant portions here for you:

Which reminds me, drax0r found an independent study which names the fastest Vista laptop on the market today: The MacBook Pro. Dumbasses - http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,136649-page,3-c,notebooks/article.html

Quote
Speaking of Microsoft, remember the CAN-YOU-RUN-VISTA program you could download? The one which told you which "number" your system was?

  • Your system cannot run Vista.
  • Your system can run some core components of Vista.
  • Your system can run Vista, but many features will be disabled.
  • Your system can run Vista with most, but not all features enabled.
  • There is no hardware available today to run a full version of Vista with everything turned on.

I like Apple's approach better:

Leopard will run faster than Tiger, even on your old equipment.
