Need help from some geeks...

We are looking for somewhere that sells capacitors (specifically 2200 UF, 20 volt, with both pins on the same end).  Have checked Altex, Fry's, and Radio Shack already.  Anybody out there know of some place local so we can hurry up and fix our POS $3500 Samsung TV?

Model #???  Is that on the damn thing?  LOL

I found them online but if I can find it where J can pick it up I am ALL for it!  I really don't want the damn thing laying on the floor for days on end.

Are they a retail location?  I just tried to call them and got the switchboard but if they will be open tomorrow they show that they have what I need.

Its listed as a distributor, but I've had luck in the past getting other distributors to sell me very small qtys of stuff.

I found a place in Mansfield and just ordered from them.  Evidently they are pretty high quality from what I read online, so cross your fingers.  I was a little to cheap to pay $32 for overnight delivery when Priority was only $7 so we'll see how fast it gets here.  For a grand total of less than $20 I can hopefully fix what Samsung wants $800 for.  You can bet your butt I will buy a new tv before I will give Samsung a dime!!!

Those would have worked!  Do you just keep them laying around in the garage for rainy days or what? 

Fortunately my parts showed up in the mail today, so let's hope all is well in a few hours when ~j gets home from work and solders them in.  Keep you fingers crossed...

Sorry I didn't dig into it sooner.  We have them in inventory at work.  Most of our stuff is surface mount so I wasn't very optomistic but saw the comments today and it reminded me to check on it.

No problem Fred.  I ordered twice as many as we needed, so we have spares now.  If the dang thing goes out two more times though I might have to give you a call.

~j fixed it last night in about 30 minutes, so we are now back in business.  Less than $5 in parts and a soldering iron fixed what Samsung wanted $800 to repair.  And an FYI to all those that have heard the problem has been resolved in their new LCD tv- we have the "new improved" power supply in ours, so I still wouldn't buy one of their products.
