You need to inform the cops about that.  Plus they need something to do.

Yes, it was confirmed by Lt Day that the man worked for ADT Security.  He was knocking on doors on the Niagara Falls cul-de-sac but when people answered he wouldn't say anything, he would just walk off.  He said that he was trying to sell security systems with a holiday promotion or something like that (at 8pm) but Lt Day kicked him out of the neighborhood for not having the proper permits.  He also had an associate over in Creekside.  I don't know if they were actually SPEAKING to people about their "promotion" over their or not.  Anyway, they were kicked out of both neighborhoods.  Personally, I think they were trying to scare people last night so that they could come back today or tomorrow to SELL security systems to the scared homeowners that heard about last night.  So here we are, get the word out that it was them trying to drum up their own business.

And I would like to say thank you to my great block captain that put Crime Watch into effect just like she needed to.  But next time, call 911 first!  ;)

Yes, please if you are not sure do call 911!  That is what our wonderful PD is for!  And a BIG THANK you to Lt. Day for his response!  :)

Guy came to my place.. Said his boss had drove thru the neighborhood & noticed a lot of people didn't have the ATD signs in their yard & so he was back trying to get people signed up.  He said that they would install for free if I'd sign some contract for service..  I just said I wasn't interested & he left..

The contract is for 2 years, and at least in my house the only thing they installed was a battery pack for the alarm because the security system was already in place.  It started out at like 28 dollars a month but everytime I turn around its higher.  I think its around 36 now a year later.

Try Smith Thompson secuirty - local group. I pay something like $55 per quarter. I'm away from my desk, or I'd give you their phone number, etc on them. But I'm sure they in the yellow pages either paper or internet.
