Just had someone attempt to force entry into our house in the Falls a few minutes ago.
He knocked, and was turning the doorknob. I went to open the door to find out what was up, and he attempted to push his way in the door.
I did not get a look at his face, because I was busy pushing the door closed once I realized he was forcing his way in. I do believe he was wearing an orange long sleeve shirt or jacket. After closing and securing the door, he asked if he had the wrong house.
We called the police, and they did take an incident report. Frankly, it could be an honest mistake, or someone who had had too much to drink. Still, the forced entry part leads me in the direction of not taking any chances.
Lock your doors when your not going through them. You never know who might be out there. Let the Police know if this happens to you.
