Committee participation in the Falls
« on: October 01, 2007, 11:31:09 AM »
It’s time to have some fun in The Falls. The committees have been struggling. Recapping the meeting on Saturday the 22nd, we really need to increase participation. The committees are going to be autonomous from this point forward. Each committee will plan their meetings and activities. They no longer need to seek approval from the management or board unless they are spending HOA funds.

Our pool committee has several projects on their plate, as does the social committee. The Landscape committee has a new chairman that is actually a landscaper — what a bonus, a great opportunity to learn some of the tricks of the trade! The chairman our pond committee is one of the top construction consultants in Texas. Our crime watch has been actively recruiting block captains and walking patrols. Deb has some other activities on the horizon so let her know you’re interested.
Newsletter committee still needs reporters. Drop a line to the Chuckster if you can write the WWWWH’s.

We are encouraging cross-committee projects and activities. This will be a great opportunity to meet your neighbors. The people who participate on the committees will be your future board of directors; you won’t want to vote for someone who hasn’t made time for the neighborhood.

So please folks, step up and get involved, help us make The Falls a great place to live and raise a family. Your participation reduces the expenses we have to pay outside contractors; this is how we will keep our dues from increasing.

Hi there,

I tried contacting the webmaster about getting involved on a committee (specifically the Newsletter/webpage, but possibly others as well) and never heard anything back.  That's been a few weeks now and I'm still interested in getting involved.  I'm hoping he or someone else will read this message and get in contact with me.

Thanks

He's a real piece of work.  I'll put in a good word for you if I see him this week.

Taye,

I have to apologize, things have been quite busy in my household of late. Are you still interested in helping us out with the newsletter? I am going to hold a meeting in the next few weeks, and would love to invite you.
Thank you,

The Chuckster

Taye,

I don't know where you live in The Falls but I am ALWAYS on the lookout for committee members for Crime Watch!  We are a very low maintenance committee, we only meet one a quarter so if you are willing to give us a try let me know.

Will you be at the meeting on thursday? I will be there, and may even get up to talk for a bit. Introduce yourself, and we will get you involved!
Thank you,

My husband had been planning to be the one to go to the meeting, as one of us has to stay home with our little critter, but I'll just tell him that I'll be the one to go instead.

See you tonight then.
