I totally agree with you. The last thing I want to do is to engage neighbors in a negative situation at the pool under any circumstances. Unfortunately, it seems like we are outnumbered by those who are uninformed about the situation, or don't care.

I guess I might have had better listening ears that night if I hadn't had to kick out a bunch of 8-9 year old kids unaccompanied by parents just prior to that incident.

I just want to be able to go to the pool with my kid(s) and chill and it doesn't seem possible.

I have set my own criteria for when to tell people to get the hell out. 

I don't open the door for people unless I want to stay the entire time they are there and I know them well enough to count them as my guests.  If someone wants to break in I usually pretend I don't notice, unless I know they don't live in the neighborhood, they are unaccompanied teens/kids, or they start hell raising. 

I would rather enjoy the time with the kids and not deal with extra drama if I don't need too...

As an Oak Hollow resident who has seen an insanely dramatic change at our pool in just one week, trust me...IT IS WORTH IT!

Oh, I have no doubt that it would make things much better, I just don't know in this economy if we would want to do something that was going to tack on $100 in HOA dues each year.  Not saying it would, just saying I would have to think a whole lot harder about that...

this is why i fill the bed of my Hummer H2T (Truck) with water and have a pool party in the back of my hummer, accompanied by asian chicks.
