Vandals in the Falls/ Stanley Falls?
« on: October 01, 2009, 10:11:33 PM »
Just curious- I know that one house on Stanley falls (for sale) has police tape around the front, vandalism on the garage door and looks like fire damage around the roof and then this evening the house right next door to that house (which is occupied) was  on fire?? And the police were talking to a group of kids??? Does anyone know if these two events are related?  And if everyone is ok?  I also understand that people have been using paintballs to vandalize other people's property?????  I have been quite busy with work and kid's activities and had not heard very much about these issues-except for what I have seen- but wanted to see what other people knew about the problems around here... any insight??? What can we do to help?? TIA!

One was a fire, today's was a suspected fire due to a faulty thermostat (at least that is the rumor).  I have not heard anything about vandalism...

Could the damage around the door be from the FD getting in ?

I live across the street from these houses and I haven't heard anything about vandalism.  Just coincidence.  The 2nd house was not a fire.  The police were telling the kids to go home because there was lightening.

Wonder if that was a Horizon home with the faulty thermostat.  I had to replace mine back in June.  Maybe they are like time bombs.  Though, at least mine didn't trick the fire department into coming out.

The fire department came out to my house, while we were out of town, because of a faulty smoke detector.  Sure is alot of faulty going on around here.

I will have to drive by and see...  The first house we had burn down in this neighborhood was due to bad wiring in a Horizon Home.  Obviously they didn't make a good choice in electrical contractors.

It was a Horizon Home so I will be very interested to find out the cause of the fire...
