That is awesome. Thanks for the information!  I can't believe they don't advertise better for that though.
I could have easily missed it.

My daughter was on the Spring league and I've contacted our Youth Soccer Association manager to see if we can promote signups the next two weekends somehow.

Monster, my daughter goes to Rattan and was in the Spring soccer league. We found out about signups a week before they began. Besides, how many people do you think kept track of a notice sent home with their kid more than 2 months ago? Some teachers didn't even send them out. It was more or less their choice. I've been pressing our AYSA Soccer Commish to be more diligent in posting notifications wherever and whenever possible. Sadly, the U10-girls only have 5 signed up, which won't even make a team. That is down from 13 signups last year.

Oh, and as for the AYSA website, it hasn't been updated, save a 'thank you' letter to one of the coaches. The last update regarding league info was back in January. That may change as I have contacted one of the AYSA board members to volunteer as a league information officer/publicist.

And as for remaining signup opportunities for AYSA Soccer, here is the lowdown:

From the Anna Youth Sports Association:

Anna Fall Soccer Signups will be held July 18th (already passed), July 25th, and August 1st from 12:00 noon til 5:00pm at the Texas Star Bank in Anna (402 W. White Street, Anna, TX 75409-2356). That is on White Street (FM455), just west of Highway 5 on the North side of the street. Signups will be held in the Texas Star Bank Multi-use/conference room on the east side of the building.

Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate for age verification. A birth certificate is necessary even if you are a returning player. Enrollment is open to boys and girls, ages 4 through 18. Experienced and first-timers of all ages welcome.

For more information, contact AYSA Soccer Commissioner Rodney Chavez at anna_soccer04@yahoo.com.
